here's the thing with spring....i wish it lasted four seasons every year. i don't even understand the point of any other season but spring. i'm completely and utterly infatuated.
and, after some intense detective work, i figured out why! are you ready for this? i'm pretty sure spring is a professional pick-up artist.
check it out - it's got peacocking down to an art, luring me in with all the colorful flowers popping up all over the place and promises of yummy treats that seemed so uninviting during those winter months
and there's the constant teasing and playing hard-to-get: i'm here to stay! psych, it's still winter. ooh la la bring out your shorts! na-ne-na-ne-boo-boo, it's snowing again!! ...stuff like that. it's so annoyingly attractive. as much as any girl says she can't stand that push and pull, it's really really hard to resist.
then that teasing leads to a certain twitterpation that's associated with spring. everybody just wants to hug everybody else. any other season of the year, it feels completely inappropriate to go up to a complete stranger and cuddle with them, but somehow, in the springtime, it feels almost acceptable. almost.
and because of that, even walking seems better in the spring. with more hand clapping and everything. it's hard to resist when the giddiness sets in
and, of course, what better time than during the flirty spring to realize the awesome differences between boys and girls. without the warmer weather, parks and slides wouldn't survive and we would have never gotten to witness quincy nurturing her toy doggie by letting him accompany her on the fun slide
while her friend, phoenix, showed the doggie how much fun a slide can be by sending the dog flailing down to more efficiently teach the dog how fun a slide can be
ah spring, how i adore thee and all of thine lessons of love. not to sound like one of those creepy stalker girls, but i can't help it with all of your charms...please never leave me again - life is so empty without you
I'll never claim to be a master chef or gardener, but raising my kiddos to love good, REAL food is huge to me.
Soooo...here are my feeble attempts at teaching them to love food the way that I do
